"An accomplished Alliance Intelligence officer with extensive undercover and combat field experience, Captain Cassian Andor is a disciplined operative with a deep respect for the chain of command and the carrying out of unquestioned orders. He earns respect from agents under his authority with his ability to keep a cool head and complete his missions with minimal resources.
Now in his mid twenties, Andor grew up in the wilds of the Outer Rim and came of age during the tumultuous Clone Wars. His father was killed at the Carida military academy during a protest against the expansion of Republic militarism. Though not a formal Separatist, Andor became part of a Confederacy-backed insurrectionist cell at a young age, throwing rocks and bottles at Republic walkers and clone soldiers. He came to learn firsthand that even the most advanced combat machinery could be crippled with the right grit sprinkled in the right gears. In the time of the Empire, Andor was drawn into anarchist movements that continued to defy Imperial edicts. He was recruited by General Draven into the growing Rebellion.
The fledgling Rebel Alliance relies heavily on covert operations. These strikes are discreet and targeted. Acts of sabotage, espionage, and even assassinations fill Andor's casefile. Knowing from experience the efficacy of Imperial interrogation, Andor respects the need for secrets to be kept from field agents. He remains active to stave off the downtime that would plunge him into deeper reflection on some of his most extreme assignments.
Cassian has spent most of his career in Alliance Intelligence working for the Operations department—a dangerous posting that places agents directly in contact with the Empire. Statistics place the odds of an agent surviving 20 field missions at 23 percent—roughly four-to-one odds against. Intelligence command has recently shifted Andor to the Retrieval department, where his mandate is to plan the operation to free Jyn Erso from prison and lead the search for Saw Gerrera and Galen Erso." -ROGUE ONE VISUAL GUIDE

SPY: DESCRIPTION
SABOTEUR: Cassian had a knack for figuring out how to destroy things with very little by way of resources. Years of law-bending have also honed his escapology skills. He carries a compact, scanner-baffling security kit hidden in his boot, with which he can cycle past simple electronic locks, and picks for more traditional mechanisms.
ASSASSIN: Cassian is a passable hand-to-hand combatant, but a much better runner and his real skills lie with guns and sniper rifles. He is a crack shot and carries a covert field edition BlasTech A280-CFE blaster, which is a pistol that can be reconfigured into a sniper or assault rifle in minutes.

COOK: Apparently he's a great cook. His best thing is chilaquiles.

☆ BACKTAGGING: Always! As a 3rd shifter I tag at absurd hours so I live for backtagging.
☆ THREADHOPPING: Love this, no need to ask. Make spontaneous things happen! (Presuming it's also alright with whomever I'm threading with.)
☆ FOURTH-WALLING: Star Wars as a vague concept/pop culture phenomenon is fine, or characters recognizing terms like Jedi if they come up in conversation, however for this character in particular I'd prefer that there's no IC conversations with him about how he's from a movie universe and fake or whatever. Recognizing specifically Rogue One characters/plot/whatever, please avoid!
Physical
☆ HUGGING: Sure! Unless he's angling for something he's not likely to be very physically affectionate himself, but he's got nothing against hugs.
☆ KISSING: Yep! He could definitely do a casual fling and/or he's absolutely not as immune to catching feelings as he'd like to be.
☆ FLIRTING: Sure! Whether or not he'll reciprocate, rebuff it or just ignore it depends on if he's trying to get something (likely information) out of the interaction.
☆ FIGHTING: Cassian isn't likely to pick fights, and if he gets dragged into one he'd fight dirty (especially if he can gets his hands on a blaster.) In terms of skill level, he can survive and probably even come out ahead of a barroom brawl, but definitely not a martial arts dust-up. He's a sniper or an infiltrator not a front-line guy, basically.
☆ INJURING: Go for it! Anything permanent or semi-permanent, let's discuss first, but scrapes and bruises are just fine without hashing it out beforehand.
☆ KILLING: Not against it! Talk to me if you've got an idea for a plot that involves this.
Mental
☆ MANIPULATION: Cassian isn't infallible, but he is paranoid and has been a spy for a long time now so he's by necessity pretty good at reading people and their intentions. He's going to be difficult to dupe, but don't get me wrong, if you've got ideas for a juicy plot come to me and we can absolutely talk!
☆ MIND CONTROL: If willpower is a deterrent, then Cassian can probably fight it. If not, then sure!
☆ MIND READING: Cassian has had extensive anti-interrogation training in a canon where Jedi are a thing, so if he knows it's happening he's likely to be frustrating to read without concerted effort, and might go for his cyanide pill if he thinks it's necessary for the Alliance's sake. He has no magical/superhuman mental defenses or anything, though.

☆ LOOKING FOR: m/f, m/m, m/other, I'm open to anything. Love angst and drama, will-they won't-they, the moral grey areas of Cassian being a spy by trade and what that would mean for any interpersonal relationship with him. Also adore self-doubt and self-loathing slowly being worked through AKA broken people struggling to be less broken, for each other. Or just flings, dalliances of conveniences for the purpose of blowing off steam! Cassian would also be capable of using sex or a relationship as an infiltration or manipulation tactic, if you'd like to go down that much darker route in a thread somewhere, hit me up.
☆ NOT INTERESTED IN: Anyone under the age of 20. Face twins (for anything strictly romantic.) Violent non-con, any sort of bathroom play.
Warnings
☆ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Cassian was a child soldier, and has engaged in acts of guerrilla warfare and espionage for a large part of his life. He might be prone to thinking of murder, methods of torture and other unsavory acts which could get thrown in to meta text every now and again. Let me know if anything needs to be avoided during play!
